If Tuesday night’s Prince concert with fashion pre-show set the interweb‘s blood racing, then Wednesday night’s Victoria’s Secret bombshell jamboree put coronary specialists on high alert.  In addition to the pageantry, those Swarovski Elements, that $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure Bra, etc, were runway appearances from Ford’s Karmen Pedaru, Maryna Linchuk, and Anais Mali.  [Vogue.co.uk]

Hedi Slimane left not only Dior Homme in 2007, but design all together. Following in the wake of an impossibly accomplished career in fashion design that belied Slimane’s relative youth — he started designing for Yves Saint Laurent at the age of 28 — has been his equally praised tenure in photography. The New York Times caught up with the elusive Slimane via email to discuss his life and work in Los Angeles capturing what he describes as the “transient age between childhood and adulthood.” [NYTimes.com]
