Tuesday evening Julia Nobis opened the Alexander McQueen show at 5 bis rue Curial in Paris. True to the house’s roots, the show coursed with elements of the romantic and technological, which can be seen in the video on the Alexander McQueen Web site. Sarah Burton‘s third ready-to-wear collection since its founder’s death demonstrates just how well she has settled into her role as the label’s designer. Andie Arthur, Hanne Gaby, Sigrid Agren, and Kate Kosushkina also featured in this show. [AlexanderMcQueen.com]

Pat McGrath and Guido Palau are veritable bywords for industry standard when it comes to makeup and hair. Their fine work on Ford’s Sigrid Agren for the Monday evening Yves Saint Laurent show is on display for T Magazine‘s latest “Model-Morphosis” feature. [T Magazine]

Giorgio Armani is set to launch a new global Web destination tomorrow that will serve as a consumer shopping umbrella for its signature line, Emporio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Armani Jeans and Armani Junior. No doubt taking a look at the strides made by rivals Dolce & Gabbana on the digital front, the Armani site is also reported to include weekly editorial content. [WWD]

And finally, Mayer Hawhthorne‘s sophomore album How Do You Do came out yesterday. Having interviewed him for the Ford Models Blog two years ago, it is once again great to see the modern crooner’s name back on top. [iTunes Store]
