Tuesday The Cut published industry-insider answers to their question, “What’s the ultimate job a model can book these days?” Paul Rowland and Crystal Renn both gave their say on the matter and the consensus, albeit with some nuance, strongly points in the direction of, wait for it, a cosmetics or fragrance contract. The Cut has also posted their monthly slide show of best / worst print stories. Featured in the October round-up are stories that include Ford’s Julia Nobis, Ming Xi, Erjona Ala, Corinna Ingenleuf, Karmen Pedaru, and Hannelore Knuts. [The Cut]

Fantastic Man is a fine publication in its own right, but it has also developed a reputation as a must-visit site not least for its daily print recommendations. Today Fantastic Man recommends a photo volume by Luis Venegas (publisher of Candy, EY! Megateen, and more) that is published by Carolina Herrera. Tuesday’s recommendation concerned the 56-page Prada pamphlet that is available worldwide in their stores for free. The publication was produced by a creative subsidiary of Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas’s firm OMA. Fantastic, man! [Fantastic Man]

This summer there was a much publicized celebrity wedding that days ago ended in divorce. Sound vaguely familiar? Vice cuts through the static in their own inimitable way by speaking with a physical fitness trainer who attended the reception. [Vice]

  1. I think that the best job a model can get right now in network is a floor model gig. I did 3 last year and it’s the most amazing experience. it more than a mannequin. It’s exciting, glamorous, down-to-earth, and it makes you flourish.

Ford is the one that offers that and models like MIng and Xian. I think they’re great. I really like them. I feel like their personalities really shine through which will be perfect for that type of work. A great personality is really important there.
