Karmen Pedaru (Ford) is splashed across the frontpage of WWD Thursday wearing a pleated skirt dress with creeping floral print from the Gucci Resort 2013 collection by Frida Giannini. The Gucci campaign model presented the rest of the resort looks including a tunic dress in a creamy lemon sorbet hue festooned with semiprecious stones (pictured). Of the inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s, Giannini is quoted thusly in WWD, “The effortlessness of Marisa Berenson and Veruschka, influenced by a contemporary intuition to wear color and print.” [WWD]
Karolina Wąż (Ford) presented all the looks for the House of Holland Resort 2013 collection by the young English designer Henry Holland, his second such collection. A rousing mixture of varsity stripes and pompom prints applied to cheerleader skirts and flared silhouettes makes the collection synonymous with V-I-C-T-O-R-Y. [Style.com]

British photographer and director Sharif Hamza sets the mood on the eve of the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine with a short film for Nowness called In Football Training. Shot on a floodlit pitch in London the short features the 26-year-old Arsenal and Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen dribbling, performing step overs, juggling, and generally looking the business wearing Fall 2012 menswear by fellow Belgians including items by Ann Demeulemeester, Kris Van Assche, Dries Van Noten and Tim Coppens, Raf Simons and Maison Martin Margiela.
