Bergdorf Goodman will celebrate its 111th anniversary this autumn and to mark the occasion the luxury goods department store is planning a series of special events that will kick off starting on Fashion Night’s Night Out, Thursday, September 6. A number of brands are creating special merchandise including amongst others Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin, Oscar de la Renta and Akris, and Maison Francis Kurkdjian who producing an exclusive perfume called 754. No Bergdorf celebration would be complete, however without windows, which will canvas the retailer’s history with an eye for the meticulous. [WWD]

Tomorrow Royal Mail of Great Britain will offer a special postage stamp series photographed by Sølve Sundsbø that pays tribute to the best of postwar British fashion. The first class stamps that retail for 60p a stamp will feature looks from Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Alexander McQueen, and more. US Postal Service, take note, you can do better than this.
