Raf Simons is said to be leaving Jil Sander according to anonymous individuals cited by Cathy Horyn of The New York Times. The hush-hush surrounding the departure, expected to follow Saturday’s Jil Sander show, has not surprisingly poured kerosene on the bonfire of speculation surrounding the creative director vacancy at Dior. Never mind, however that Simons’s flavor of minimalism would be at odds with the very identity of the House of Dior. [NYTimes.com]
