Versace opened the Couture Spring 2012 season this morning with Donatella Versace’s first such collection since 2004. Fifteen evening looks were presented at Beaux Arts in Paris by models including amongst others Karmen Pedaru (Ford), Sigrid Agren (Ford), and Kate King (Ford). Fashion’s Night Out 2012 has circled in red Thursday, September 6th as its big night of the year. With the Council of Fashion Designers of America having softened on its previously hardline “Second Thursday” position, New York Fashion Week was moved up a week so as to avoid conflict with Milan. The resulting change made Friday’s announcement by Fashion’s Night Out organizers all but inevitable. [The Cut]

Doré’s works famously illustrated the English Bible, Coleridge’s Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Milton’s Paradise Lost and more.
