This page would be remiss were it to neglect the bearer of this golden edition of all the September Vogue issues. As mentioned in the previous post, that stunning Karmen Pedaru story by Hedi Slimane, the delivery of the agency’s copies of Vogue服饰与美容 September 2011 was in fact Ford’s Ming Xi. It so happens that not only is Ming distinguished in her delivery, but equally as well in her reception on the fold-out cover by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Mentioned the other week on this page, the cover story bearing the somewhat unreconstructed title “Oriental Chic” features the Lane Crawford F/W 2011 campaign model wearing a back cross gown with belt and culotte and shrug with flower and feather embroidery by Gucci. For her second look, Ming wears an evening gown by Bottega Veneta. This is precisely the all-Chinese model story that ought to herald the September issue of Vogue native to China and thankfully Ming Xi is not only in it, but also delivered it.
