In the world of fashion, it’s not often that dads get their due credit. In anticipation of Father’s Day, we asked our models to share what they learned from the men that raised them. At the end of the day fathers know best, and even dads deserve a moment in the spotlight. Here, Ford Image’s Noel weighs in on hers.
WHAT IS YOUR DAD’S STYLE?
My dad’s style is very casual. You can almost always find him in a pair of jeans, a button down shirt, work boots, and a hat on.
WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOUR DAD EVER GAVE YOU?
This is so hard because he has given me endless advice, and although I don’t like to admit, he’s usually always right. But probably the best advice he has given me is to always stay true to yourself. No matter where you go in life, always be yourself and do what you know is right.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MEMORY WITH YOUR DAD?
I have a lot, but a recent one that I really enjoyed was when he came to visit me in New York during fashion week castings. He got to spend the day with me and see what I do. I had 12 castings that day, we were running all over the city and didn’t even have time to stop and eat lunch, but we had so much fun. And he got to see that being a model isn’t all that easy.
WHO IS YOUR DAD’S FAVORITE MUSICIAN OR WHAT IS HIS FAVORITE SONG?
Keep Me In Mind by Zach Brown
HOW HAS YOUR DAD AFFECTED WHO YOU ARE TODAY?
I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my dad. He has taught me to be strong, smart, caring, honest, responsible and so many other things. He’s supported me with anything and everything I’ve ever wanted. He has taught me to always be myself and to never change for anyone. He always makes sure I push myself to be the best that I can be, and loves me unconditionally. I can say honestly say that there has never been a day in my life that he hasn’t made sure that he tells me “I love you.”
