Ford’s Anna J is popping up everywhere including the latest Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue fragrance campaign photographed by Mario Testino. We saw this on The Fashion Spot earlier in the week as I’m sure many of you did, but haven’t had a chance to feature it, what with Resort 2011 taking our every. Last. Minute.

Special thanks to “Northern Star” and “Flashbang” of The Fashion Spot for posting this campaign. Check out the rest of the campaign at MDC.

  1. Hi there…well Mr Testino…did a great job…as usual…
I liked very much, the attitude & pose of him..If this is a male fragance…as it seems to be..by his fashion attitude of dominant male..by the way he holds her..that is excellent..But
in my modest opinion as a viewer/ or possible consumer…is that..she is that her pose &attitude..is showing rejection..to
him..all the contrary to what a cologne should evoke on the consumers..isnt it? Or my percertion is not correct ?

It seems to me ..as if she was quite uncomfortable,
with him holding his hand to close to her breast..you can see that,in her face ..and in her fingers grasping the chair too
    nervously..

In my modest opinion,I think ther would have been..much more
connection,,between her & him.if she would have looked at him,& caresshim with one hand (the one to the camera )and leave hanging the other…as a sign of submission…

The general idea of the pic is great…!

  2. What a fantastic shot Mr. Testino, complimenti!
The models are amazingly hot! The male model shines more than the girl because she looks she a bit unconformable with him instead of interact. She looks she is falling.
Selling the perfume means more passion always with sophistication.

  3. I agree with what Sissy said…that the female model appeared to be too young for the job, & as I also said..she missed show
ing passion to her acting performance. But I gently ask…If we noticed that..and it was so evident..why did the responsible persons in the production crew, did not correct lt?
Or was this how they wanted to do it ? What are we missing in
our appreciation of this great pic..? What was the matketing concept they where trying to sell to their potential consumer,
that we do not see ?

In my modest opinion as a fashion & advertising pro photogra
pher…L just want you to let your imagination ..fly..away..
for a while..Ok..? Imagine that the male model is still in that great pose..but now he is holding her,by her back (which
    is a bit arched )…looking at him with ardent passion,and with her hand,that is facing the camera…caressing his face;
& letting his other arm hang losse…to demonstrate as whole,
    her total submission…to his man…

    • This pose and the discrepency in age are classic reminders of how “the craft” and the purveyors who weild such inside knowledge openly laugh at your dim witted and consuming lifestyles. She looks uncomfortable for a very specific reason. That is what makes their world go round. Best of luck to you all, sincerely.
