Today is my last day working at Ford Models and this is my final post on the Ford Models Blog as its news editor. I began working at Ford nearly a dozen years ago at the same time I started graduate school at New York University. My beginnings in the fashion world were inauspicious to say the very least (I scanned model portfolios in those days), but have gathered considerable pace in recent years.

In the summer fashion calendar vacuum that invariably envelops the period between the resort and couture shows and the spring ready-to-wear collections it is no surprise to see speculation (rumors) and proper analysis, albeit occasionally, dominate the industry news cycle. Add a tantalizing fashion house appointment to the mixer and the result can be intoxicating.
