With fall just around the corner, we look forward to the crisp smell of autumn and anticipate cold winter days ahead. Warming up in Moncler down coats and wool sweaters, Ford Men’s Kacey and Cheyne are featured in the most recent issue of Man of the World magazine. This editorial, shot by Lucas Blalock and Rob Kulisek, with fashion by Luke Langsdale, is sure to get us in the mood as we wave farewell to those sultry dog days of summer.
A rumored investment by LVMH had the fashion crowd buzzing about Proenza Schouler’s S/S 2015 runway, featuring Ford Image’s Charlotte & Lexi. The two models walked with moussed hair and 80s-feel earrings – the Proenza boys did say the collection was their interpretation of traditional American wear. Whether that was true or not, these girls were worth the hype.
Michael Kors will always be classically American in his designs, but this season saw him flirting with a bit of whimsy. Ford Men’s Conrad walked with an oversized cuff on his dark denim jeans, while Ford Image’s Lexi called-to-mind a young Jackie O in a trench with an exaggerated collar. Even with the amplified proportions, these two still looked just right.
Every season Rodarte’s runway feels like the Mulleavys are letting us into their own little world of make-believe, and that was exactly the case for S/S 2015. Ford Image’s Mily walked the runway in an oversized utility coat with hooked eyebrows. It’s certainly a look we haven’t seen on the young talent before, and one that was nothing if not fantastical.

Maison Martin Margiela’s younger line has always erred on the side of the commercial, even while retaining the avant-garde hints of its mother brand. Ford Image’s Yulia walked the S/S 2015 runway in a feminine silk blouse with suede fringe chaps over her classic blue jeans. This girl really was the best of both worlds.
Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley’s second showing at the helm of Marc by Marc, featuring Ford Image’s Charlotte, was just as subversive as the first. The model walked with a messy top bun in an amalgamation of styles – a noticeable departure from more reserved appearances in Tome and Yigal earlier this week. This was the perfect yin to Charlotte’s yang.
Rag & Bone has become a new staple in the world of American fashion, creating casual looks without sacrificing design. Ford Image’s Lexi walked the brand’s S/S 2015 runway in modern pieces that riffed on classic silhouettes. Here was a new wave American girl.
Todd Snyder is great at doing Americana with a twist, which is what Ford Men’s M’Baye and Aiden were for the designer’s S/S ’15 show. Whether in a classic windbreaker halfway zipped or simple cotton tee with a graphic print, the two exuded cool, contemporary vibes that have made Snyder a favorite this side of the pond. Together, these boys were the future of American menswear.
Maria Cornejo is known for a purist take on contemporary wear – praising simplicity above all else. Ford Image’s Alyosha and Marine walked the designer’s S/S 2015 runway in stark colored looks complimented with clean skin & natural beauty. These were two beauties in their most concentrated form.
