London called to the faraway town that is New York and lo, it was duly answered by 27 different models represented by Ford Models. Out of 46 total shows that cast Ford Models, eight featured Ford openers and another eight Ford closers. Highlights included Alana Zimmer (Ford) closing Peter Pilotto and Antonia Wesseloh (Ford) closing Jonathan Saunders. Erjona Ala (Ford) topped show appearances, 13, one more than last season, including bookending opening-closing looks for John Rocha. Lara Mullen (Ford) enjoyed a distinguished homecoming by walking for 12 designers and along the way opening shows for Mulberry and Topshop Unique. Andie Arthur (Ford) also notched up 12 runway appearances. All told, the five days (six if you count menswear) of London Fashion Week proved a fine occasion for participating models to limber up in between New York and Milan.
